Bug#58359: Potato install failure
Package: boot-floppies
Version: 20000217
Attempting a clean install
boot media: root + rescue
replaced root with custom kernel to include DEC Tulip support
boots fine
loads rescue image
starts dbootstrap
I attempted a network install of the rest.
Failure: rescue attempts to get files that do not exist on
http://http.us.debian.org
I think the files are misnamed, either on the server or in
dbootstrap.
boot-floppies expects:
disks-1.44/rescue-2.2.9.bin
drivers-2.2.9.tgz
server has:
disks-1.44/rescue.bin
disks-1.44/driver[1-3].bin
(doublecheck information: ethernet card is recognized and
configured correctly, network info is configured correctly,
DNS works, ping works, server can be reached just fine.)
