Bug#58305: boot-floppies: ne module won't load

Package: boot-floppies
Version: N/A
Severity: normal

In trying to test the 2.2.6 boot floppies, I came across this problem. I
have an NE-2000 clone (ISA) in my test box and was trying to install across
the network. When I tried to get dbootstrap to configure the card, it
complained every time saying that PCI cards need an explicit IO=0xnnn value
set. This is bizarre for two reasons:
 a) It was an ISA card (the PCI one is a different module)
 b) I'd set an IO value

When I went onto the console window next door, I was able to modprobe the
module happily and continued with the install. However, I don't think this
is the appropriate way for a newbie to have to install their system!

Thanks,
