``Need'', no. But sound would be cool. Perhaps I'm starting to
sound repetitive, but the fact that you have to compile a
kernel to get sound on Debian is really really bad. Still I
understand the reasons to leave it out of the ``main'' kernel.
Someday in the future we all know we're going to use a
modularized solution like RH but nobody ever implemented it. So
just including the most common stuff as modules will do.
