Current boot-floppies woes
G'day
The current CVS bf's are building OK but there are some problems
with resultant images, at least for i386:
1. dbootstrap complains about "problem extracting drivers.tgz" and thus
no module configuration is possible.
2. adduser doesn't like the removal of perl as it's still complaining
about "Can't locate auto/POSIX/autosplit.ix in @INC". There may also
be another perl related problem with pppconfig which needs
investigation
3. the permissions on most of the /dev files are wrong. Instead of
being 'crw-rw-rw-' they end up as 'crw-r--r--'. This example was
for /dev/pt*
4. the permissions on /tmp and /var/tmp are incorrect. Instead of being
'drwxrwxrwt' they end up as 'drwxr-xr-x'. Also, /tmp has root.sys
instead of root.root
I'm not sure what changes caused these but I'll see what I can
find.
Regards
Greg
