on booting from the rescue floppy, startup proceeds as expected until the
following line:
md driver 0.36.3 MAX_MD_DEV=4, MAX_REAL=8
after which the startup hangs. From the mailing list archives ca. 14 Dec
1998, it appears that this could be solved by disabling the driver that is
loaded after the md driver. (A SCSI driver, I believe, which in my case is
unnecessary.)
I am attempting this installation of Debian 2.1 on a Micron Transport xpe.
