cfb{1,2,4,8,16,24} are all in there already (I wrote them) if you go to
Debian CVS.  They appear to work on macfb (m68k) and vesafb (i386).

But I suppose you mean the weirdo Amiga/Atari modes like iplan2p4...

Also there is support for ADB mice which should basically work the same for
Amiga and Atari (I did not know the proper nodes in /dev for those, that's
all, so you'll have to add the tests to BOML)
