Debian boot CD followup

> Can you give us a detailed wishlist what you want to have on the system?

Just to update you on this issue, even if just vaguely, I did get some
more feedback. This is subject to change, depending on further input
from others:

- a graphical interface (X11) is not necessary.
- the "full blown standard unix tools" should be included, but...
- "Shall there be enough tools to do a kernel compilation?"
Our current answer is "probably not," but more voices need to be heard on
  this. The more, the better.

> Can you tell us which sizes are supported for El Torito boot images on
> a CD?

This is from the El Torito Spec:

1. The CD-ROM may boot as the A drive or the C drive.

2. If the CD-ROM boots as the A, drive it will contain a 1.2M, 1.4M or
   2.88M floppy image.

3. If the CD-ROM boots as the A drive the systems normal A drive
will become the B drive. If the system has a B drive it will become
   inaccessible.

4. If the CD-ROM boots as the C drive, it replaces the C drive.

I have hardly even begun researching this yet, but I did catch the tail end
of a thread, subject line 'Re: an ae testimony' that was posted to this list
the same day I posted my message. Mark Blunier <blunier@ocslink.com> has
evidently already made a rescue CD with Debian on it. I'll take a look at
this to see if it can be used as a starting point. Also, I'll see if that
thread has picked up on the debian-cd lists, as evidently it was cc'd, and
try to get in sync with anyone else who is working on this.
