Bug#38205: resc1440.bin & adaptec 2940
Package: boot-floppies
Version: 2.1.9-1999-03-03
architecture: i386
Model: Intel pentium 120 MHz, SuperMicro P55CMS, Ami Bios Rev 1.1 0714951200
memory: 64 MEG
scsi: adaptec AHA-2940 Ultra/Ultra W bios version 1.21
cd-rom: atapi
hard disk: fujitsu-M2949Q-512 9Gb
It is not possible to complete the boot sequence with the resc1440.bin
disk. (I also tried with resc1440safe.bin).
The system is already installed, but I had occasion to try this new
rescue disk, which freezes at:
(scsi0) Downloading sequencer code... 419 instructions downloaded
This is not the first time I have worked with a rescue disk on this
system. The hamm versions certainly worked without problem, and I
believe an earlier version of the slink series worked. I no longer
have those prior versions to be able to positively identify which
worked. It does successfully boot with the installed system.
