I am experiencing the same problems on a IBM Thinkpad 600.

Is it posible to investigate what kind of trouble -- if any -- there
would be to put this kind of patch in the default images, making the
"tecra" image the only one?

As a secondary note, are you planning to make a tecra disks set?
