edited Stephane's patch; notably, Stephane, we still need to mention
kernel modules in the kernel-package section
added a new section, "Orienting Yourself To Debian" -- not trying to
be a tutorial, but mention that mucking around in /bin can get you in
trouble....
mapped out some more terrain for the next stuff to be written, in case
Stephane is feeling bored, including a discussion of where to go for
more info, etc.
used entity for the number of packages in the distribution
