If you see the LILO changelog you will notice that those *.b files
are now integrated into the lilo binary, so you can safetly say
install=menu on your lilo.conf and LILO will recognize that.

In respect to the map file, LILO generates it when you run it:

root@crypto:/boot# dpkg -l lilo
