Changes: boot-floppies (2.3.1) unstable; urgency=medium
.
* Adam Di Carlo:
- README-Overview: updates, talk about debian-installer vis a vis
boot-floppies
- merge changes from potato branch (v 2.2.22 changes, basically)
- what used to be called the udma66 flavor is now ide -- fix several
old instances, preventing proper build in i386
- we don't build base anymore, remove it from README-Users*.m4
- dbootstrap: don't write fstab nor pcmcia configuration files with
translated messages; we don't want the files to have utf8 charset
closes: #79734
likewise, don't set LANG in /etc/environment -- according to people
who seem to know, setting LANG globally would be evil anyhow.
If there's any special post-installation steps people want to be
taken after installation, they'll have to file bugs on base-config
to pull this out of the dbootstrap_settings file
- fixes for debootstrap, but the debian-cd package will be have to be
fixed (see todo)
* Phil Blundell:
- improvements in build process
- ARM porting work
* Josip Rodin:
- some rewording, based on comments and proposals of Lloyd Budd
* John Robinson:
- root.bin: new nano-tiny has changes location
* Matt Kraai
- during network installation, force the re-loading of resolv.conf
closes: #85397
- dbootstrap reads the symlink setup by the install.sh of the rescue
disk when manipulating the kernel symbolic link. This should
capture the subarch correctly.
closes: #82482
