Re: Presentation + A debian-based for audio creation and production, stage technics and video blend (or "the future of TangoStudio")

Hi Aurélien,

If you would like to hear about our experiences creating the 64 Studio
distro, both technical and social, please mail me off-list. I think
hearing that story could save you a lot of time :-)

Right now, we are thinking about our roadmap for when wheezy becomes
stable, so this would be a good time to discuss how we could work
together, if you interested in doing that. We have some tools available
which you may find useful in maintaining the distro.

First, I would suggest you decide how 'official' you want your custom
distro to be. If you want your iso to be endorsed by the Debian project
I expect you will have to formalise that relationship somehow. For
example, having a Debian Developer in your team who can make sure that
you are part of the Debian community process.

In our case, we could not be 'official' back in 2005. As I recall, this
was mostly because Debian had decided not to ship a real-time kernel in
etch, and the project could not support any distro with a third-party
kernel build.

Cheers!
