Uhm... I beg to differ. debian-volatile is an official part of Debian
and - to the best of my knowledge - activated by default with newer
installations, So how can using that repository lead to an unpure blend?
One could even argue, that as backports is slowly being integrated to be
an official part to, using that repository is quite pure ;)
