Ok. I figured out the problem and I found an answer from some mailing
list archive. Likely it was debian-blends or debian-custom, but I didn't
save the URL for that.
Anyways, the actual solution was to add the line:
mirror_components="main non-free"
to myprofile.conf.
I wrote something up on Simple-CDD howto
(http://wiki.debian.org/Simple-CDD/Howto) since even if the solution was
really simple it took me quite a while to figure it out.
I really do hope that Simple-CDD documentation would atleast contain
information about where to find valid options for *.preseed and *.conf
-files. The whole process isn't quite clear to me even now, so I don't
have an idea about which file is handled by which part of the building
process.
