Some fruitless searching of the Alioth site, and apt-cache, ending with what
I should have done first, a Google search, yielded the following:

Section 4.1 of the user guide (available as PDF, or contained within
the "GForge manual" which is a .tar.gz of HTML or PDF, depending on
your preference) covers file releases.
