Re: PETSc Debian package switch to lam?

Greetings! The problem here is that 6.5.2 has a compilation error
when compiling shared libs. This is a known issue, and is fixed in
cvs. I've discussed with the upstream maintainers, and they suggest I
package the cvs snapshot, as the fix required several changes which
are not organized into a single patch anywhere. I'm hesitant to
package a cvs snapshot for Debian, though, and am too busy with atlas
at the moment to comb through cvs myself.

The good news is that atlas should be ready this weekend, with any
luck.

Take care,
