Hi,

The debian template doesn't do quite the right thing for building bullseye containers - it gets the security line in sources.list wrong.

The version in bullseye appears to fix that (naturally).

Could it be backported, so that bullseye containers can be built nicely on buster hosts?

This is a bug of package lxc-templates in Debian Buster. The bug should be
fixed in the main archive. Backporting is not the proper way of fixing bug --
this would leave the package in main archive still buggy.

Please consider opening a bug report against package lxc-template in Debian.
Also forwarding your email to package maintainers (in CC list).

I guess that's true ...

There is a bug already (#970067), and it has been fixed and archived; it just hasn't been applied to buster.

I've filed a new one referring to that.

Cheers,
Richard
