Re: Metapackage for latest backports kernel?

Hi, thanks for the answer but not a solution in this situation. The result would be no up to date stable kernel installed when the package name changes.

Hi,
I asked this before:
I want to have both latest stable and latest backports kernel installed.
For some time you could use the linux-image-amd64 metapackage from backports because the stable image package name did not change.
There is no linux-latest package to the latest backports kernel anymore.

I think ubuntu had a linux-image-backports package for some time. Wouldn't this be a convenient solution?

For that we have a solution:
Run: apt install -t buster-backports linux-image-amd64
or
apt-get install <package>/buster-backports
