c-podman itself is fairly harmless. However, it requires podman itself, which
is not in backports yet. That one has like a dozen Go build dependencies, and
backporting all of them is much more tricky:

There are some semi-official podman builds for stable Debian/Ubuntu/CentOS etc.

But I wouldn't want to have a debian-backports package that depends on these --
then you can just as well use the package from Debian testing directly. It's
got no serious runtime dependencies, c-podman just like most cockpit-* packages
is basically just a static blob of compressed JS/HTML.
