Re: (newbie) correct way to update versions for bpo

bruno you answered my follow-up question to daniel.

like a goose i was building on the unchanged .dsc file in the parent directory because that was the only one i could find. running dpkg-buildpackage works in the source tree (as per daniel's explanation), and after creating a new .dsc file, i can also use cowbuilder, which is what i wanted to do.
