backport for octave?

I would find it useful to have a backport of octave 5 to buster. The
version from testing seems to build in buster+buster_backports
(including running the tests).  I haven't had a chance to run the gui
yet.  I guess I could upload the backport, but I would be even happier
if Sébastien was interested in handling the backport.
