You do know that a requirement for a backport is “is in testing”, so
anything from backports has exactly the same less-tested coverage,
and at least a day _more_ delay.

Besides, a not-too-long time before the freeze, testing _is_ what
will become the new stable, hurried one-day-before-deadline uploads
excepted it’ll be in pretty good shape.
