Sorry, I don't have time to maintain backports.
cargo in unstable is blocked on the libgit2 transition: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=873139
I'll be at the Berlin Rust meetup in about 40 minutes if anyone wants to talk about anything else, however.
