Wheezy backport of openafs
Hello,
Wheezy-backports currently has openafs 1.6.9-1~bpo70+1. Given the
recent security announcement about OpenAFS[0], would it be possible for
1.6.9-2+deb8u4 to be backported?
CCing Ben as the current OpenAFS maintainer; Russ Allbery made the
previous upload but since announced he is stepping down from Debian
package maintenance for the OpenAFS packages.
A simple rebuild of 1.6.9-2+deb8u4 in a wheezy environment seems to be
all that is necessary (I have just done so and tested it on a wheezy
fileserver where it works).
Ben, if you would be able to do this, that would be great; otherwise, I
am happy to upload to mentors.debian.net and seek a sponsor. Equally, I
am happy to help keep the backport updated, as my team use it heavily at
work.
