libreoffice-writer: crashes on "sort table" when selection exceeds table

LibreOffice writer crashes reliably, when trying to sort a table after
not only selecting the table itself but e.g. the whole document. Or,
reworded: The menu item "table" -> "sort" should probably be grayed out,
when a selection exceeds the table (as it is, when no table is part of
the selection).
Bug marked as "upstream" as this behavior is reproducible with
LibreOffice v4.3.7.2 for Mac OS X as well as with LibreOffice v4.4.5.2
for Windows.
