Sorry for my late answer.

You are right when it's about my own workstation, but it is not.

I am a sysadmin and I do things for customers like thin-clients,
desktops with parts on NFS4 with LDAP and Kerberos, managed laptops, and
so on. I cannot change all of that in a month or so.
