Yes, you are are right. However, I can reproduce the behaviour
('aptitude -t wheezy-backports show <package>' not showing the backports 
version) with 0.6.8.2-1 (wheezy), but not 0.6.10-1 (testing/unstable), 
so I guess something was changed/fixed in between.

The stable system has a quite clean sources.list (only wheezy + security 
+ backports).
