The package may need a dependency against php-mdb2-driver-mysql (>=
1.5.0b4-1), can you please confirm the install goes smoothly with a more
recent php-mdb2-driver-mysql package?

Furthermore, there are security issues with this owncloud version, and
some of its dependencies currently in backports, so I can only encourage
upgrading the (backports’) packages ASAP (or remove them from backports if
that’s not sustainable).

Hi,

I was recently contacted asking for a backports upload for OwnCloud. I
must recognize I was quite naïve regarding the work that OwnCloud
requires — While I am not the only one that pushed for OwnCloud to be
backported (and I didn't do most of the needed work!), I have to
recognize I don't have the time to keep up with it, and unless
somebody else (Mike?) wants to continue pushing it, I would recommend
for dropping it from Backports.

I have continuing maintenance owncloud in wheezy-bpo on my agenda. I have provided nearly all required packages in our institute's Deb archive [1], but I still need to do some more work and test test test.

Also, an upgrade of owncloud to 6.x in wheezy-bpo requires several packages to go through the bpo NEW queue. I will push those packages during next week.

Greets,
Mike
