Please update libreoffice in wheezy-backports to version 1:4.3.1-2.
The recent version (1:4.3.1-1~bpo70+1) has very bad bug:

description:In an LO Math formula, I attempt to enter small Greek letters (for
example %lambda). LO Math at first does nothing, showing the entered
information as it is ("%lambda"); then it changes the entered
information into capital Greek letters (for example %LAMBDA).
The problem exists only in editing a formula. Formula viewing works normally.
Suggested solutions:
1) Rebuild package libreoffice to version 4.3.1-2.
This version already exists in jessie. You can just rebuild source jessie package.
2) Use package libreoffice-l10n-* version 4.3.1-2
This version already exists in jessie.
