I'm sorry to hear that.  Actually, the video drivers in wheezy are
from Linux 3.4.  There will be further fixes to them in stable
updates.

Only packages in testing are eligible for backports.  No new kernel
has yet migrated to testing, due to some build failures.  This will
probably be fixed in a few weeks.

You should be able to install the new kernel package and
initramfs-tools from unstable without upgrading any other packages.
