dput configuration (was Re: Backports integrated into the main archive)

It should be noted that dput in all available versions
explicitly forbids that.
Fix:
$ sudoedit /etc/dput.cf
(Yes, “sudoedit”, one word. It sudo-reads the file, runs
your ${VISUAL:-$EDITOR} as non-root, lets you edit the
content, and sudo-writes it back. Nice BSD tool.)
Locate the section [ftp-master] (around line 20) and change:
allowed_distributions = (?!UNRELEASED|.*-security|.*-backports)
… to:
allowed_distributions = (?!UNRELEASED|.*-security)
Then save and exit your editor.
I did that for cvs, by request of an actual user on IRC
who wanted to set up a new CVS server (no kidding! I was
surprised myself), and the package went through NEW and
on to the buildds just fine (thanks, backports team!).
