Hi m{a,i}ster samba backports!

Nah, as mentioned on IRC, it's been supported since compat 3. On the
other hand:
| /usr/bin/install -c -m 755 libctdb/libctdb.a /build/buildd-ctdb_1.11+git20111102-2~bpo60+2-amd64-c2K4Ej/ctdb-1.11+git20111102/debian/tmp/usr/lib64

Maybe try setting --libdir=/usr/lib?

Also, autoconf/automake glitch here at least:
| checking for getpwent_r declaration... yes
| ./configure: line 7493: ac_cv_c_prototype_struct_passwd_pgetpwent_r_struct_passwd_psrc__char_pbuf__int_buflen_=no: command not found
| checking for prototype struct passwd *getpwent_r(struct passwd *src, char *buf, int buflen)...

And network configuration is leaked in the build log (look for “checking
for iface getifaddrs”).

All that based on the amd64 build log:
  ctdb → 1.11+git20111102-2~bpo60+2 → amd64 → 2012-02-19 16:47:13

G'luck.

Mraw,
KiBi.
