While I might have yelled against this kind of stuff when that was being discussed for git/sid/experimental, I think we can only establish that Raphaël took objections into account, and compatibility remained. I'm quite sure that's not the kind of big changes which could be “sneaked” into squeeze-backports, so I'm not sure rehashing the past is the way to go forward. Mraw, KiBi.
