I've just tested Exaile from squeeze-backports in a freshly installed
squeeze VM, and I cannot reproduce this problem you're having. Is
there some way to trigger the crash, or reproduce it in a consistent
manner?

There seems to be a similar bug report filed upstream with this error
message [1], but it's inconclusive.
