1/ Since then, it seems the problem is technical:
- unsupported version in BTS
Maybe someone could write something in the wiki (or open a bug report) with a technical point of vue in order to get it fixed.

2/ It is a _human_ problem (crudely summurized):
- Maintainer from "straight" version does not want to be bothered by the bpo version, so this is a *blocking* factor. I believe that more than 90% of bugs on bpo also affect "straight" versions (only packaging issue are really specific) Some projects are managed by teams (games...) Maybe maintainers could temporarily accept to work as a team, before a technical solution for (automatically ?) assigning the bug to the correct team is fixed.
