vzsplit does not work

Hi,

yesterday, I installed the 2.6.26-bpo.1-openvz-amd64 kernel from etch-backports. I am using vzctl 3.0.11-14 from Etch.

vzsplit does not work (quad-core, 4 GB RAM, ...):

# vzsplit -n 2
Fatal resource shortage, try to decrease the number of VPS
#

On the openvz user mailing list, I was told that this was an odd mix of versions (http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.openvz.user/2556).

I remember that it worked _one time_, after the first boot with the new kernel. (Unfortunately, I didn't save the output.)

Is this a bug in your kernel package, a bug in vzctl (etch), or is it just incompatible? Do I have to expect other problems while running virtual machines with this combination (they're running at the moment)?

Thanks for your help,
Peter
