 I'm not adminstering backports.org directly and thus only can suggest a
workaround to you: Why not choose one of the various mirror sites
instead of loading backports.org? The push syncing between them isn't
that slow and seldom happening that there is a huge delay between them -
and it might even get you better transfer rates. :)
