I made backports of libapache-mod-evasive for Debian Sarge and Etch: http://people.teamix.org/~ms/backports/etch-backports/libapache-mod-evasive/ http://people.teamix.org/~ms/backports/sarge-backports/libapache-mod-evasive/ Both appear to work nicely. The module allows to limit accesses in order to prevent brute force or denial of service attacks and is from Debian Lenny. Maybe those would be a candidate to b.p.o? If someone wants to sponsor them, I am happy for any feedback regarding the packages. lintian was quiet except for moaning about ~ in version name ;-).
