apt-cache policy mysql-server php5
mysql-server:
Installed: 5.0.26-3~bpo.1
Candidate: 5.0.26-3~bpo.1
Version Table:
*** 5.0.26-3~bpo.1 0

php5:
Installed: (none)
Candidate: 5.1.6-1~bpo.1
Version Table:
5.1.6-1~bpo.1 0

Or what's your problem? Mysql 5 works fine with me, I haven't tested php5.
Cheers,
Moritz
