Hello Some scripts included in backports (like the ifdown stuff from wpasupplicant) use functions from /lib/lsb/init-functions that are not available in Sarge. The next hostapd backport (0.5.5) will also be affected: /etc/init.d/hostapd: line 38: log_daemon_msg: command not found /etc/init.d/hostapd: line 44: log_progress_msg: command not found Right now this does not affect the basic functionality of the backport, the only problem is that users will see the above error messages instead of: Starting advanced IEEE 802.11 management: hostapd. What is the recommeded way of dealing with this? Ignoring? Changing the init script? Making the backport depend on lsb-base from backports.org? regards Andreas Janssen -- Andreas Janssen <andreas.janssen@bigfoot.com> PGP-Key-ID: 0xDC801674 ICQ #17079270 Registered Linux User #267976 http://www.andreas-janssen.de/debian-tipps-sarge.html
