Requesting Help with OpenOffice Installation

I'm new to Linux and really trying hard to dump my windows installations. I am trying to install OpenOffice 2.0.3, but not having much luck. It seems like it is something I should be ablt do, and yet....

Here are the contents of my /etc/apt/sources.list file
deb http://www.backports.org/debian sarge-backports main contrib non-free
   deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ sarge main
   deb ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/ stable main
   deb-src ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/ stable main
   deb http://security.debian.org/ stable/updates main

I ran the apt-get update command and it returned the following:
   everson:~# apt-get update

   Hit http://security.debian.org stable/updates/main Release

   Reading Package Lists... Done

I tried to do an install and used the following commands. In every case I was told that the openoffice package that I requested was not found.

everson:~# apt-get install openoffice.org_2.0.3-1bpo1_i386.deb
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
E: Couldn't find package openoffice.org_2.0.3-1bpo1_i386.deb

I also tried:
everson:~# apt-get install openoffice.org_2.0.3-1bpo1_i386
everson:~# apt-get install openoffice.org_2.0.3-1bpo1_i386.deb
everson:~# apt-get install openoffice.org_2.0.3-6~bpo1_i386
everson:~# apt-get install openoffice.org_2.0.3-6~bpo1_i386.deb
I tried many other package names that I discovered by reading through the e-mail achives. No luck.

Please let me know where I am going wrong. Many thanks in advance.
