Dear Antonio,

this is great news, thank you for your efforts!

I'd be happy to review your packages and upload them. For simplicity, I
also just created the projects on Salsa and made you owner (you should
have received notifications).

https://salsa.debian.org/debian-astro-team/skyfield
https://salsa.debian.org/debian-astro-team/jplephem

Please ping me once you uploaded the packages.

Thanks a lot.
Just pushed the source code of both jplephem and skyfield.

Dear all,
I have prepared a debian package for skyfield [1] and one of its
dependencies jplephem [2].
The ITP issues are [#911646] and [#1017350].
Source packages are available on mentors.d.n.

I'm a DM and I would like to maintain the packages under debian astro
(as suggested in [#911646]).
If there is no objection I would appreciate if someone in the debian
astro could review the packages and sponsor the initial upload.

I would like to put the git repositories for both packages on salsa.
I think that I have permission to do it myself but I do not remember
if there is any specific procedure for creating new repositories in
the debian-astro group.
Could please someone provide a link to the relevant documentation?
