Was there a conclusion to the discussion on d-arm@l.d.o?There was a compelling reason to do at least one more armel release to have at least one official release with time64 support. There were other comments to keep architecture for environmental reasons, to keep supporting old devices that are still in the field, there are lots of {sheeva, dream,*}plugs based around Marvell's kirkwood and many NAS devices based on Orion chipsets.
How did this end up in the release? I understood at the thread of https://lists.debian.org/debian-arm/2023/12/msg00016.html that the marvell kernel was dropped, and it still looks like so. Back then I did not find the reason for the dropping, because the kernel changelog cited "unusable kernel" while actually with the workaround/fix (https://github.com/amouiche/qnap_mtd_resize_for_bullseye), although QNAP specific, everything continued to function in bookworm too.
Or would the idea be that marvell is supported in trixie by continuing to use bookworm kernel? Or maybe I'm missing some unofficial kernel build somewhere.
I'm very happy with bookworm too, but interested in what are the different options for the marvell users.
