Re: Bug#1034159: Kernel support for more ChromeOS devices

Hi,

I'd hope "during a mini-DebCamp at ARM" is the perfect time to poke you
about kernel support for more ARM platforms?

I've got things mostly working on some MediaTek Chromebooks and filed
some merge requests for linux and initramfs-tools, more details at [3].
Please take a look.

I have also written up a "dts2config" script inspired by another script
Diederik used to analyze RK3588 platforms' dts files for related config
options. The script and short / long results for all dts files are
available at [3] attached to a comment. I hope they will be useful in
enabling support for more hardware.

With that, I generated some short lists of config options per SoC, based
on device-tree "compatible" strings in ChromeOS boards' dts' for that
SoC. Attaching those as a tarball here. It would be nice if you enabled
those that aren't enabled yet, but I don't expect that will happen
before I can get those tested on actual hardware...

P.S.: I'd also appreciate you looking at my x86 ChromeOS configs MR:
