Is COMPRESS=xz the default option for initramfs.conf now in buster? If not, will it be soon?

I am waiting to upgrade to buster to avoid issues like this one.

Just reporting that likewise, with COMPRESS=xz Debian 10 has worked
flawlessly on my TS-221 for the last 1.5 months since I upgraded. It's
very nice that armel was able to be kept as a release architecture for
Debian 10 too.

Continuing to run with mem=768M.
