xbmc wheezy is not working on ST' Microectronic ST'301 based custom board



Hi All,

I am trying to get debian wheezy xbmc running ( since it uses glibc-2.13.2( on board i got 2.14) on my ST301 based custom

Using ST's SDK2-20 with 3.10.65 kernel version, and arm-linux based rootfs for typical set-top-box environment providded by ST

Single core ARM Cortex TM -A9 application CPU at up to 1.5 GHz: – 3750 DMIPS – 512 Kbyte L2 cache

• Video decoding:– HEVC L4.1 (1080p60)– H.264 (1 x HEVC 1080p60 or 2 x HEVC 1080p30) – H.264 AVC, one L4.2 (1080p60) or twoL4.1 (1080i60/1080p30) streams – H.264 MVC, SHP @ L4.1—1080p30L30R – VC-1, MPEG4, MPEG2
• 3DTV display: up to 1080i60L60R or 1080p30L30R

• High-performance ARM Mali TM -400 MP GPU for true 3D graphics:– Up to 350 MHz – 700 Mpixel/s fill rate

I Downloaded all tha dependent packages from debian wheezy-backport

When I run xbmc it throughs below error and stops.

root@b2204-h301_a9:~# xbmc
Error: unable to open display
XBMC needs hardware accelerated OpenGL rendering.
Install an appropriate graphics driver.

Please some here guide the what is the xbmc version which work on arm-linux with Mali400 and tell how do I go about
xbmc running on my board.


And also I am planning to cross-compile kodi with ST's toolchain, for HTPC kind of application on , Which is latest versio
that i have use.


Please guide am I going in the right direction or not.

Your help regarding this will be grate help for us.
