Which link?

Generally, if you have a version of Linux kernel that runs on a
device, you can fairly easily install the Debian userland (the GNU/etc
parts). The mainline Linux kernel doesn't appear to have support for
the Nvidia android shield pro but does have support for the nvidia
shield. If the hardware is similar you may be able to adapt the Linux
kernel to the device. If you aren't able to do that, you can use the
Android version of the Linux kernel, which has some quirks that are
documented here:

Do you have a link to debkit? Perhaps you are talking about DebianKit?
DebianKit seems to be abandoned, the website is gone for example.
