Hi again, I still have a problem to install Jessie on a QNAP TS-420U using GPT and RAID1 (compare previous thread https://lists.debian.org/debian-arm/2015/06/msg00061.html). During the installation everything seems to be fine ... ... but when the installer is going to 'Make the system bootable' the system is hanging. I was looking into the logfiles and found some errors within syslog (see below) which might explain the behavior. However, I have no idea how to solve this problem. Any suggestions how to continue? Many Thanks in advance, Peter PS: Another installation without RAID1 was successful. /***************************************************************** [syslog] ... main-menu[1487]: INFO: Menu item 'bootstrap-base' selected ... base-installer: ... in-target: Unpacking mdadm (3.3.2-5) ... in-target: Processing triggers for man-db (2.7.0.2-5) ... in-target: Processing triggers for systemd (215-17+deb8u1) ... in-target: Setting up mdadm (3.3.2-5) ... in-target: Generating mdadm.conf... in-target: done. in-target: update-rc.d: warning: start and stop actions are no longer supported; falling back to defaults in-target: invoke-rc.d: policy-rc.d denied execution of start. in-target: update-rc.d: warning: start and stop actions are no longer supported; falling back to defaults in-target: invoke-rc.d: policy-rc.d denied execution of start. in-target: Processing triggers for systemd (215-17+deb8u1) ... base-installer: info: kernel linux-image-versatile not usable on kirkwood ... main-menu[1487]: INFO: Menu item 'flash-kernel-installer' selected ... in-target: u-boot-tools set to manually installed. in-target: 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. in-target: update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-3.16.0-4-kirkwood in-target: UUID eeb34bbe-375a-4dc1-939d-f56b801a4c75 doesn't exist in /dev/disk/by-uuid in-target: Warning: root device /dev/disk/by-uuid/eeb34bbe-375a-4dc1-939d-f56b801a4c75 does not exist ... /***************************************************************** |
