Re: Installability of desktops on arm64
Ok time for an update. I tested installability in two chroots, one with
both -ports and official sources and the other with only official sources.
mate-desktop-environment: installable in an environment with both
official and ports repos. Not installable in an environment with only
official repos waiting for marco (which is in needs-build and
mate-control center (which is blocked by marco)
lxde: Installable in an environment with both official and ports repos.
Not installable in an environment with only official repos waiting for
build of obconf (which is in needs-build)
gnome-core: Installable in an environment with both official and ports
repos. Not installable in an environment with only official repos,
blocked by evoloution-data-server/libphonenumber issue and possiblly others.
gnome: Not installable even with the use of debian-ports packages. gnome
depends on rygel which is blocked from building on ports by a missing
binnmu of valadoc (i'm building said binnmu now) and blocked from
building on official by a dependency loop between nautilus and tracker.
kde-plasma-desktop: Not installable even with the use of debian-ports
packages. kde-plasma-desktop depends on plasma-desktop which is provided
by source package kde-workspace. kde-workspace failed to build on
official with errors from dpkg-shlibdeps (
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=762243 ) and is blocked
from building on ports by a missing binnmu of strigi.
kde-plasma-netbook: as with kde-plasma-desktop
e17: installable in both test chroots
openbox: installable in both test chroots
icewm: installable in both test chroots
fluxbox: installable in both test chroots
wmii: installable in both test chroots
awesome: installable in both test chroots
